Senior Transportation
Reliable transportation is extremely important for the seniors in Tangipahoa Parish. The Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging provides curb-to-curb transportation for our seniors. Each weekday our handicapped equipped vans travel the parish picking up seniors to bring them to one of our five senior centers. Our vans also bring our seniors to their medical appointments, pharmacy and local grocery stores.

LaDOTD  “Driven to Succeed” Award

LaDOTD Award presented to the TVCOA-Public Transportation service which, as stated by the DOTD Regional Coordinator "… provides both rural and urban transportation.  Their coordination between the two types of transit has tremendously helped the people of Tangipahoa Parish get to work, medical appointments, shopping and many other destinations that are needed by the community.”  Executive Director Debi Fleming congratulates the team led by Mary Dowling for receipt of this award.  “Although improvements are always needed, the team constantly strives to make this valuable service accessible to all Tangipahoa Parish residents.”
